Welcomed and Supported, Nabire the Capital of Central Papua

All elements in Nabire Regency welcome and support Nabire Regency to become the Capital of the Province of Central Papua. This was revealed during a coffee morning with Forkopimda, community leaders, religious leaders, traditional leaders, women leaders, and youth leaders with the topic of the New Autonomous Region (DOB), at the Nabire guest house, Thursday (30/6/22) yesterday morning. Of all the elements present expressed their support for Nabire Regency to be the capital of Central Papua Province.

Papuapos Nabire's observations during coffee morning, in addition to the presentations from the Nabire Regent and the Nabire Forkopimda, were also given time for the leaders to speak. A number of submissions from various parties are ready to welcome and support Nabire Regency to become the capital of Central Papua Province. It's just that a number of figures remind that there is protection for Papuan Indigenous People (OAP), especially those in the Central Papua Province region. So that later they will get attention to participate in development through their respective professions.

To the media crew according to coffee morning, the Regent of Nabire, Mesak Magai, S.Sos, M.Si, expressed his gratitude because the DPR RI has decided (toki hammer) the division of Central Papua Province and Nabire Regency to become its capital.

The first step that will be taken is to welcome Nabire as the provincial capital, said the Regent of Mesak, he will invite the Nabire DPRD to sit together and discuss the location of the Central Papua Province Governor's Office. Whether to be placed at the Nabire Guest House or at the Nabire DPRD Building, will be discussed further.

“The first step I will take is to invite the DPRD to discuss the problem of the location of the Central Papua Province Governor's Office. Are we going to place the governor's office in the Guest House or at the DPRD office now, while the Nabire DPRD office will be shifted to a guest house? We will discuss this,” said the Regent of Mesak.

In addition, in the near future he will also invite 6 tribes from the coast and 3 tribes from the mountainside, which are 9 indigenous tribes in Nabire Regency to discuss how we as natives in Nabire can become masters in our own country.

Regarding the ASN issue in Central Papua Province, he said, the ASN filling would later be carried out by the parent province. When the Papua Provincial Government invited him to fill it, continued the Regent of Mesak, he, together with the Secretary of Regional Secretary of Nabire and the Head of BKPSDM Nabire, would arrange how many ASNs would be allocated to the province.

"But I want to say that during the last inauguration, we appointed officials from outside Nabire Regency. At the moment they only run for positions in Nabire. For this one, we will not propose in the proposals who will become employees in the province. But we will propose ASN from Nabire Regency," he said.

On that occasion the Regent of Mesak expressed his gratitude to the entire community of Nabire for their togetherness and prayer support. And also thanks to the leaders who have fought for the expansion of the Province of Central Papua and Nabire to become its capital.

"These are their works so that today the DPR RI has become a hammer and we, Nabire, have become the mother of the Central Papua Province. On behalf of the entire Nabire community, we would also like to express our gratitude to all the figures who participated in the struggle, such as Mr. AP Youw and all of them," said the Regent of Mesak.

He continued, today we can work for Central Papua. But we all know that today we are working for Central Papua but later our children and grandchildren will work. So let's be grateful and accept it with a cold heart. Let's leave all the differences that have occurred so far, let's build Nabire Regency and Central Papua Province.

"So far, people have complained about the hospital services in Nabire, complained that Nabire was not clean, complained that security guarantees were not working well. Now with the presence of the Province of Central Papua, this burden will later be completely divided. A large hospital will be built in Central Papua, security guarantees will be guaranteed so that economic activities can run well. Because the central government's goal to expand it is only for the welfare of the people in Central Papua," he concluded.
